Ingredients
- 2 cups + ¼ cup Oatsome Organic Oat Milk Barista or Original
- 2 cups pasta of choice
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp table salt
- ⅛ tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp lemon juice (about ¼ of a lemon)
Directions
- In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, bring 2 cups of oat milk and 2 cups of pasta to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to medium-low and cook uncovered according to pasta’s package recommended cook time for “al-dente.”
- While pasta is cooking, in a separate bowl, combine cornstarch and the remaining ¼ cup oat milk. Whisk gently until combined.
- Once pasta is al-dente, turn the heat off and add the cornstarch mixture to the pasta and milk (without draining). Stir to combine.
- Add nutritional yeast, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and paprika. Stir to combine and the sauce will begin to thicken.
- Finish by adding lemon juice and stir gently before serving warm. If at any point the sauce becomes too thick, thin by adding additional oat milk, one Tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
